Bright Sky Learning, LLC, and its affiliates, are engaged in the business of creating, developing and utilizing educational and testing materials, for, among other things, intervention and remedial program implementation, primarily for youth and adults who are behind in reading and mathematics. The company's commitment to benefit the nation's youth, and society at large, is based upon the belief that all people need to be proficient in reading and math.

Founded in 2001, Bright Sky is a for-profit, limited liability company, with corporate and administrative offices in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, and currently has over 2,000 students enrolled in Bright Sky LearningTM tutoring programs.

The firm's featured language arts curriculum is the proprietary Smart Way Reading and Spelling® systematic and explicit phonics program, modeled after each of the five key recommendations of the National Reading Panel report.

The two math programs utilized by Bright Sky Learning include all ten of the standards associated with mathematical proficiency by the National Council of Teachers of Mathematics as well as the 2003 National Research Council report entitled "Adding It Up: Helping Children Learn Mathematics."

Smart Way ReadingTM features 27 fully-scripted lessons, with a skills review following completion of each level, and has been used successfully in raising student grade equivalent averages between one and two grade levels, as based on the Wide Range Achievement Test (WRAT) Reading assessment, as well as the Woodcock-Johnson III Broad Reading measure (decoding, sight-word, spelling and comprehension).

If I had to comment on the viability or effectiveness of the program I would give a 100 percent approval rating.
- BL, School District Classroom Program Supervisor
Soon to be available through Bright Sky Learning is a computer aided instruction program, Phonics interactive EducationTM (PiETM), that will provide the same educational benefits for reading and spelling via high technology.
