Bright Sky Learning is engaged in the business of creating, developing, marketing, licensing and utilizing educational and testing materials, for,
among other things, beginning and intervention program implementation, primarily for youth and adults who are either learning or are behind in
reading and mathematics. The company's commitment to benefit the nation's youth, and society at large, is based upon the belief that all people
need to be proficient in reading and math.
Founded in 2001, Bright Sky Learning is a for-profit company, located in Kennett Square, Pennsylvania, and has served several thousand
students in Bright Sky Learning Multisensory Educational ProgramsTM.
The firm's featured language arts curriculum is the proprietary Smart Way Reading
and Spelling® systematic and explicit phonics program, modeled after the key recommendations of the National Reading Panel report.
The highly successful Smart Way Reading and Spelling system is also available online, as a direct derivative work. The web version can be
private-label licensed to individuals and groups through Bright Sky Learning. We can be reached through the Contact Us page. The link below will take
you a more detailed description of Smart-Web-Learning.
Smart Way ReadingTM and its online direct derivative work, Phonics interactive Education,TM
feature 27 fully-scripted lessons, with a skills review following completion of each level, and has been used successfully in raising student grade equivalent
averages between one and two grade levels, as based on the Wide Range Achievement Test (WRAT) Reading assessment, as well as the Woodcock-Johnson
III Broad Reading measure (decoding, sight-word, spelling and comprehension).
The two math programs utilized by Bright Sky Learning include all ten of the standards associated with mathematical proficiency by the National Council
of Teachers of Mathematics as well as the 2003 National Research Council report entitled "Adding It Up: Helping Children Learn Mathematics.
If I had to comment on the viability or effectiveness of the program I would give a 100 percent approval rating.
